70th Year Anniversary of the Congregation of the Sisters of Eucharistic Heart of Jesus.

26th of January 2013 was a day to remember as the Sisters gathered with their friends in the chapel at their Convent in Halifax to celebrate the anniversary of the foundation of their Order, in union of Spirit with their Sisters in Nigeria.  The Order was founded on January 17, 1943 by Archbishop Leo Hale Taylor.  As the new year of 2013 came, it was appropriate to celebrate in thanksgiving to God for all his blessings to our Order in the past 70 years. Our pastor Fr. Frank Pellerin presided at the liturgy assisted by Deacon Wilfred Boudreau with Bruce Marriot as the altar server.  We were happy to celebrate with many friends from across the Archdiocese.  Fr. Frank in his homily thanked God for the presence of the Sisters in the parish and encouraged them to continue the good work they are doing. There was lots to eat in the dining room of the Sisters after the mass.
